Community Rules: The Trading Floor Code
Effective: [date]
The AbsoluteGreed floor isn’t for everyone, and it isn’t trying to be. People here are blunt, the language is rough, and feedback on a bad trade is meant to sting. If that’s not for you, there are plenty of gentler communities out there. What follows is short, because the rules are few, but they are enforced.
How the floor talks
- Say what you think. Blunt beats polite. Nobody here owes you a compliment sandwich.
- A bad trade gets called a bad trade. Chasing, revenge trading, moving a stop: expect to hear about it, loudly.
- Swing at the trade, not the person’s identity. Roast the decision, the excuse and the size. Leave race, religion, sex, orientation and family out of it.
- Thick skin is the price of admission. If a reply hurts, check whether it’s right before you check whether it was nice.
Zero tolerance
Any of these gets you removed, usually without a warning:
- Anything illegal.
- Threats. No threats of violence against anyone, and never telling someone to hurt or kill themselves, joking or not.
- Doxxing. No posting anyone’s real name, address, employer, photos, account numbers or other private details without their consent.
- Trade signals. State only your own trades or what you will or are doing. No “buy here, stop there” calls aimed at other members, and no selling signals, copy trading or managing other people’s money. Share your reads and ideas; don’t tell people what to trade. Only call out trades you are taking or what you plan on doing. "I am in long.' is good. 'I am taking the short if it breaks the range low' also good. 'Go short now.' not good.
- Pirated or stolen material. No cracked indicators, leaked paid courses, shared logins or code you don’t have the rights to.
- Scams and side hustles. No pump-and-dumps, eval-passing services, account rentals, affiliate spam, selling anything, or recruiting members to other rooms.
- Leaking the floor. Members-only content, including the brief, videos, indicators and other members’ posts, stays on the floor.
- Compiled files. Members can share templates, workspaces and source code. Only AbsoluteGreed posts compiled indicators.
- Impersonation of anyone, including GrimTrader, staff or other members.
- Porn or sexual content.
Naming names
Your own experience with a firm, platform or person is fair game: “I paid Firm X for an eval and here’s what happened” is exactly the kind of post that helps people. What you can’t do is state as fact that a named person or company committed fraud or a crime unless you can back it up. Opinion and experience: yes. Accusations: only with proof.
One exception to the roast
If a member sounds like they’re in real trouble, beyond losing money, drop the act. Flag the post so GrimTrader sees it. Nobody gets mocked for that, ever.
Enforcement
- Moderators make the call, and the call is final.
- Gray areas usually get a warning. Zero-tolerance violations usually get a ban.
- Banned members are not refunded (see the Terms of Service).
- See something that breaks the rules? Use the flag button on the post. Don’t start a fight in the thread.
These rules may change as the floor grows. Members will be told when they do.
