Privacy Policy

November 11, 2026

This policy explains what personal information AbsoluteGreed collects, why, who processes it on our behalf, and the choices you have. It covers absolutegreed.com, the free newsletter, and the members’ trading floor at traders.absolutegreed.com. The short version: we collect only what we need to run the site, the newsletter and the floor; we don’t sell your information; and you can ask us to delete it.

AbsoluteGreed is operated by [business name LLC], [postal address].

What we collect

When you sign up for the newsletter

  • Your email address, and your name if you give it
  • The date you signed up and the page you signed up from
  • Whether you open our emails and which links you click

When you become a member

  • Your username, email address and password (stored scrambled, never in readable form)
  • Your profile details, and anything you post, chat, like or upload on the floor, including chart screenshots and trade logs
  • Your membership and billing status. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.

When you visit either site

  • Your IP address, browser type, device and the pages you view, collected through server logs and our security provider
  • Cookies needed to keep you signed in and protect the site (see Cookies below)

When you email us

  • Your email address and whatever you include in your message

Trade logs and screenshots. If you upload a trade log or chart, remove your account number and anything else you don’t want stored. We don’t need account numbers for anything.

How we use it

  • To send the newsletter you signed up for
  • To run your membership: your account, billing, access and support
  • To run the floor’s features, including the AI features described below
  • To moderate the community and keep out spam, scams and signal-selling
  • To protect the sites, prevent fraud and fix problems
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations

We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t use it for advertising.

AI features

Some features on the floor use an AI model, currently Claude by Anthropic:

  • The morning brief
  • Thread summaries
  • Moderation of new posts
  • @TheAuditor post-mortems

To work, these features send the relevant content to the AI provider: a post, a thread, or an upload you tag @TheAuditor in. [Under Anthropic’s commercial terms, data sent through its API is not used to train its models.] We don’t send your email address or billing details to the AI provider.

Who processes your information

We use these service providers to run AbsoluteGreed. Each one receives only what it needs for its job.

ProviderWhat it does for us
DigitalOceanHosts both sites and stores uploads and backups
CloudflareDNS, security and traffic routing; sees visitor IP addresses
MailgunSends the newsletter and account emails
StripeProcesses membership payments
AnthropicRuns the AI features on the floor
Bunny.netStreams the Boot Camp videos
Google WorkspaceHosts our email inbox

Our site software, Ghost and Discourse, runs on our own servers, so the companies that make it don’t receive your data.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights or users’ safety, or as part of selling or transferring the business, in which case this policy would continue to apply.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to run the sites: to keep you signed in, remember basic settings and protect against bots. We use no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we don’t allow third parties to track you across other websites through our sites.

Do Not Track. Because we don’t track visitors across websites, our sites respond the same way whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.

How long we keep it

  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information.
  • Membership: for as long as you’re a member, and for a reasonable period afterward in case you return. Posts you made on the floor may remain visible after you leave unless you ask us to remove or anonymize them.
  • Billing records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
  • Backups: deleted information can stay in encrypted backups for up to [30] days before it’s overwritten.

Your choices and rights

  • Unsubscribe from the newsletter anytime, using the link at the bottom of every email.
  • See, correct, export or delete your information by emailing [email protected]. Members can also edit their profile and download their posts from their account settings.
  • Delete your account by emailing us. We’ll confirm when it’s done.

We’ll respond within [30] days. Depending on where you live, including California and the European Union, you may have additional legal rights over your information; contact us and we’ll honor them.

Security

We use encrypted connections, scrambled passwords, two-factor login for administrators and regular backups. No system is perfectly secure, so we collect as little as we can.

Children

AbsoluteGreed is for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Where your information is stored

Our servers and service providers are mainly in the United States. If you visit from outside the US, your information will be processed there.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we’ll also tell members on the floor and newsletter subscribers by email before it takes effect.
